- A physician, a non-physician graduate, or another worker in health care and related fields may become a full member of the CSO
- Full membership in the CSO is established by approval of a written application by the CSO Committee.
Applications of new members received from 1 October of a given year will be registered by the Central Register of Members of the CzMA JEP only from January of the following year.
All necessary forms for registration, reporting changes, requesting a reduction in membership dues, and more can be found on the CzMA website.
These forms also include addresses where to send the completed forms.
The amount of annual membership fees for 2023
Basic fee for membership in the CzMA JEP: 500 CZK - paid by all members of the CSO
In addition
- members of the CSO JEP up to 30 years of age: 600 CZK
- Women over 60 years of age, men over 62 years of age: 600 CZK
- Other members of the CSO JEP: 1250 CZK
Newly admitted members - residents pay a symbolic fee of 10 CZK for the first year of joining the CSO (plus the basic CzMA membership fee of 500 CZK).
Membership in CSO CzMA JEP includes subscription and mailing of the journal Czech and Slovak Ophthalmology.
Full membership in the CSO ceases:
1) death of a member
2) termination of membership on the basis of a written application (can be renewed at any time)
3) expulsion - if a member fails to pay the membership fee for 2 consecutive years.

The CSO does not have its own Statutes, it is based on the Statutes of the Czech Medical Asociation JEP, which can be found at www.cls.cz/en.
